JT (Joule-Thomson) skids increase the recovery of valuable natural gas liquids (NGLs). By removing the heavier components such as propane or butane, the producer achieves an immediate processing upgrade, increasing recoveries and profits.
The Joule-Thomson effect is also managed with indirect line heaters to prevent temperature-related flow assurance problems.
